CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Aerobics, Low Impact:
Boost your energy level, tone up and shape up in this safe, low impact
aerobics class! If you haven’t exercised in a while or need
to get back into exercising, this class is perfect for you. Class
includes a warm-up, low impact aerobic routine, cool down, muscle conditioning
and a lot of stretching. Bring water, a large towel or mat and wear
tennis shoes.
Step Aerobics:
Get into shape, feel great and have fun exercising with Step Aerobics!
Bodygroove Instructor Hollie Lee heads up this fun and challenging dance
oriented Step class. Step combines the high intensity of stair climbing
with the impact and safety of walking. Class includes a warm-up,
stepping combo, cool down dance, muscle conditioning and stretching.
Bring a mat or towel, water and 2 - 5 lb hand weights and wear athletic
shoes and workout clothing. Class fills up quickly, so sign up early.
Please note, this is an Intermediate Step class - you must be familiar
with Step Aerobics.
Kickboxing + Pilates:
Jab, punch and kick your way to fitness! Kickboxing is a TOTAL BODY workout that will
increase stamina and flexibility and help you lose weight/inches; you'll be dripping with
sweat. Pilates for the final 15 minutes will strengthen your core, tone and lengthen your muscles.
Most important - your Bodygroove instructor keeps the class challenging and fun; good cueing, great technique,
varied routines. Get ready to work your booty off - literally! Bring a mat, towel and water.

STUFF
FOR CLASS:
Shoes:
For aerobics, wear a good supportive pair of athletic tennis shoes. For
yoga, you’ll want to be barefoot.
Clothing – Be sure to wear comfortable workout clothing that you
can sweat in. Synthetic clothing works best, since it dries quickly.
Water & Towel:
Bring a water bottle and towel to class!
Weights:
Bring 2 – 3 lb weights to class for the muscle conditioning portion.

Etiquette:
Here
are some tips that will help everyone get the most out of class:
1. |
Please
be on time – we start class with the ever important warm-up,
which helps lubricate your joints and gets the body ready for the
longer and more intense phase of the workout. If you come late to
class, be sure to warm up first. Also, if you are late, please take
a space in the back row so as not to disturb others. |
2. |
Be
sure to check your name off on the class roster on the clipboard in
the back. It eliminates taking roll – which means more class
time for everyone. |
3. |
If you need to leave early, inform the instructor before class. Always
allow some time to cool down and stretch, which helps minimize soreness
after working out. |
4. |
Turn
off Cell Phones – please turn off your ringers and pagers during
class and if you must take a call, please excuse yourself from class
so as not to disturb others. |
